Special Meeting & Bid Opening
The Board of Trustees of College Township, Knox County, Ohio will hold a Special Meeting on February 27 at 5:00 p.m. at the College Township Service Center at 102 E. Brooklyn St. in Gambier, OH 43022.
The purpose of the Special Meeting is to conduct a public bid opening for the OPWC Roadway Improvements 2026 project and to review and potentially award the contract to the selected bidder.

2025 Annual Financial Report
The 2025 Annual Financial Report for College Township has been completed and a paper copy is available for public inspection at the College Township Service Center, 102 E. OPWC ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS 2026
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for College Township, OPWC Roadway Improvements 2026 will be received by the Township Fiscal Officer, at College Township Service Center located at 102 E. Brooklyn St. Gambier, OH 43022 until 5:00 p.m. local time, Date: February 27, 2026, at which time the Bids received will be opened and read aloud.
Bids shall be sealed and marked on the outside of the envelope as a bid for the College Township, OPWC Roadway Improvements 2026 and mailed to College Township, P.O. Box 540, Gambier, OH 43022 or delivered to College Township Service Center, 102 E. Brooklyn Street, Gambier, OH 43022.
Project Description: This project consists of roadway resurfacing on Township roads in Knox County, Ohio. Surface treatments may include hot mix asphalt surface courses, hot mix asphalt leveling courses and chip seal applications as indicated in the plans, drawings and specifications.
Plans, specifications and bid forms may be obtained at College Township Service Center,102 E. Brooklyn St. Gambier, OH 43022. Due to limited office hours, please email collegetownshipoh@gmail.com or call (740) 427-3000 to schedule a time for pickup of the bid package and delivery of the bid. Copies of the plans and specifications are available for viewing at the location cited above.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid. Said guaranty may be in the form of a bid bond, bid guaranty and contract bind, a certified check or cashier’s check or a letter of credit. Bid guarantees must meet the requirements of section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, except as modified herein
Upon awarding of the contract, the contractor shall provide a performance bond in the full amount of the bid. Said bond shall be in the name of the College Township Trustees. Said bidder shall enter into a contract with the Board of Township Trustees within fifteen (15) working days from the date of award. Said bond shall remain in effect until the work has been accepted in writing.
The successful bidder shall comply with the requirements of the Ohio Department of Commerce Wage and Hour Division and Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code.
All Contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of this project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
The Township Board of Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities.
The Village of Gambier will now offer electronic recycling on the first Friday of each month from 8:30-11:00 am. Please find them in the parking lot in front of the library.
Please note: old/broken string lights like Christmas lights are recyclable.
